In the wake of the brutal kidnapping, torture, murder and mutilation of our two GIs in Iraq last week, I have a message for liberals who want to turn tail and run--just shut up! Don't preach about Abu Ghraib,
Guantanamo or Haditha, no matter how right you think you are.
Be thankful that civilians really do run the U.S. military; I shudder to think what happens if Army commanders in Iraq were left to operate on their own after this terrorist atrocity. I have two sons in the military--in a few weeks, both will be deployed in the Middle East at the same time--and both are angry at libs who want to apply Geneva Conventions protections
to terrorist thugs.
While in Iraq or wherever, I expect them both to do whatever they need to do for them to come home alive to the people who love them--including emptying the magazine and asking questions later.
And regarding that little pot-bellied tyrant in North Korea who wants to test a long-range missile (for which there can be no logical purpose other than an attack on the United States): I support the use of Ronald Reagan's "Star Wars" technology to shoot it down right after launch. But that should only be the first step--next, why not have a couple F-16s or cruise missiles incinerate the launch site? I believe that would diminish their nuclear threat, at least as far as the U.S. is concerned.
Libs can't fathom that our forces might be in the Middle East for five years or more. What about the tens of thousands of troops we still have in South Korea, Japan and Germany--put there under Democrat Party presidents? Those wars ended 50-60 years ago! Let's "redeploy" those folks to our own borders and see if that helps with the illegal immigration problem. There should be no more expense, because we already have to feed and support those troops now, overseas.
It would be such a nice way, too, to say "thanks" to all our European friends for all their help in the War on Terror. Let's see how France, Germany and Russia deal with a nuclear Iran without U.S. troops standing
so close by.
Why have a military at all if our leaders in Washington are afraid to use it and support it? Let's just go ahead and surrender, right, Libs? Voters, be careful, and don't confuse the words "liberal" and "liberate." The latter requires a willingness to actually use the military!
